The Autotest SIRIUS series solid state AC/DC source provides excellent performance enhancement for the UTS and UPT series of power supply test systems. These high performance sources were specifically designed by Autotest Company to provide the ultimate in programmable source power.

All sources include an IEEE 488 (GPIB) interface for easy computer control. They are fully programmable from DC to 1KHz and voltages of 0-280VAC and 0-400VDC. This makes the SIRIUS series one of the most versatile sources on the market.

In addition, to provide the ultimate in line input testing, there is an event programming capability. With this capability, the user may provide line disturbances for worst case testing scenarios. In 3 phase applications, even the phase relationship and individual phase amplitudes may be programmed by the user.

To provide output waveform purity, the Autotest SIRIUS series uses switching technology for improved efficiency combined with a linear output. Importantly, there is no switching noise passed through to the output to cause wave shape distortion. There is no ambiguity on high crest factor loads. This pure wave shape will provide a solid baseline for your testing repeatability.

Configuration

Each source starts with an oscillator/controller and one basic 750VA module. Additional modules can be added to increase power and current capability. The controller provides for independent control of one to three source outputs.

Single Output: One output either AC or DC or DC-plus-AC

Dual Output: Two independently programmable outputs.

• Either could be AC or DC or DC-plus-AC.
• Both outputs can be programmed to act together in parallel.

Triple Output:   Three independently programmable outputs.

• Any could be AC or DC or DC-plus-AC.
• Any 2 or all 3 outputs can be programmed to act together in parallel.
• All 3 outputs can be programmed to act together as a 3-phase AC source.

Multiple Module Outputs:

• Any output in any of the above configurations can have more than one 750VA module to increase power and current.
