With over 30 years of experience in building Functional ATE and applications, Autotest has become a forerunner in providing customers with total solutions to their testing needs. Autotest’s expertise in architecting and packaging a solution makes it an ideal choice for DOD as well as commercial seekers to handle the responsibility of providing a physical package to documented requirement. This is just a sample list of project solutions.

This is a partnership where Autotest engineers worked directly with the customer design engineers to produce an application specific ATE using Autotest instrument control and software to manage custom High Voltage test instruments. Multiple copies of this ATE are used in a high volume data managed manufacturing facility.

This is a total solution contracted by a DOD prime contractor for acceptance testing of the MARK 41 VLS system. Multiple copies of four distinct ATE solutions were delivered. The turnkey packages included proprietary communication and instruments development to perform acceptance testing of all of the modules in the MARK 41 VLS system.

This is a portable communication and configuration tool custom developed for a DOD application in shipboard and depot facilities. It enables a variety of control modules to be upgraded in the field saving costly depot processing.

Virginia Panel Interfaces

This is one of many custom interfaces designed to efficiently and reliably connect UUT and interface configuration test heads to standard Autotest instrumentation. Sometimes the only thing that makes an ATE custom is the way in which it interfaces to the product.

Depot Level Test Set

This is an example of a complete turnkey solution to a US Navy requirement for testing and repairing power modules used in sophisticated undersea weaponry. Not only does the ATE contain custom instrumentation and interfacing, but they incorporate a complete software solution totally designed in Autotest’s Standard APG platform.

Another example of a repair depot ATE as a turnkey solution for the US Air Force. This ATE again contains a combination of custom instrumentation, standard Autotest instrumentation, and third party instrumentation architected in a consolidated rack solution custom interfaced to meet the needs of the specific product. This is a second generation system, upgraded with the latest Autotest Software platform and instrumentation as an example of Autotest’s long term commitment to customer satisfaction.

Build to Print Test Sets

Because of Autotest’s extensive experience in packaging instrumentation and producing test systems, customers sometimes contract Autotest to make what they have already designed. In essence, this is just another way in which Autotest partners to produce a solution.

Master Harness Interface

Autotest not only makes ATE, but it supports their use. This is just an example of a Turn-Key solution to a high volume Chinese manufacturer needing a custom interface that consolidates ATE resources into smaller interface connectors. The interface allowed lower cost adaption to connect ATE instrumentation to the UUT.

Autotest partnered with a military client to take a predefined set of instruments and a packaging specification and design and document the layout and mechanicals to fulfill the requirement. We worked together with the customer to minimize footprint, maximize reliability and ease maintenance.

Custom Break Out Boxes for Testing

In adapting and qualifying UUT and ATE, there is often a requirement to interject into the interface stimulus and make special measurements. This type of custom design project is common to Autotest engineering.

Component Testing ATE

There is no job too small for Autotest. This solution designed a custom DUT Board interface mounted directly to the front of the ATE to test various SIP and DIP components for a high volume component manufacturer. The ATE, DUT interface and software were all customized to meet the customer’s needs using standard Autotest instrumentation and software.

This shows the versatility of the Autotest instrumentation packaging in a mobile bench height ATE developed for a DOD communications contractor.

Burn In Units

Some product applications are so critical that the UUT requires testing while in a stress environment. Autotest has the expertise to adapt ATE through umbilical's to allow UUT functional testing in these stress environments. This includes Burn-In chambers and vibration stations.
